The AMS Performance carbon fiber intake replaces the factory B58 airbox with a sealed, hand laid carbon fiber airbox and an intake tube enlarged to 90mm, a 26.5% gain in cross sectional area over stock, before it necks to 65mm at the compressor inlet. AMS testing showed a 25% reduction in pressure drop. A washable synthetic dry media filter needs no oil, and billet aluminum brackets and stanchions with a rubber grommet seal locate the airbox. Meaningful power gains require ECU calibration, and cars with the factory strut tower brace need the spacers noted in the instructions.
