AMS Performance chopped carbon fiber cold air intake replaces the bulky factory airbox and draws 100% of its air from outside the engine bay, feeding a higher volume of cold air to the stock turbocharger. The hand-laid, motorsports-grade chopped carbon fiber carries a non-gloss finish that resists yellowing, fading and cracking. The tube tapers from a 3.5 in outlet to a 3 in inlet, a 3 in to 2.75 in silicone coupler and washable synthetic dry media filter are included, and the system supports up to 600 hp. Installation requires no cutting, trimming or grille removal; Golf R models with secondary air injection (SAI) need a separate third-party filter kit, and Audi A3/S3 applications need minor modifications.
