The AMS Performance front mount intercooler kit for the FA20 Subaru WRX lowers intake air temperatures to help hold peak power in hot weather, at the drag strip, or through long high speed pulls. The 4 in thick bar and plate core measures 28.5 in wide by 10.25 in tall, filling the front bumper opening with 325% more core area than the stock top mount, and its aluminum end tanks are hand TIG welded and pressure tested. The kit adds 2.5 in mandrel bent black powder coated aluminum piping, silicone couplers with recessed joints, an OEM style blow off valve mount, clamps, and hardware. The AMS bumper support beam is not included in this version; slight trimming of the bumper ducting and removal of the factory bumper beam are required.
