The AMS Performance stock-location intercooler replaces the factory unit with a bar-and-plate aluminum core measuring 21 x 10.25 x 5.5 inches, 115 percent larger than OEM. Efficiency rises to as much as 93 percent against 59 percent for the factory intercooler, delivering charge air up to 80F cooler after a 12-second pull with 20.5 percent less pressure drop, and AMS measured a 12.3 whp gain on an unmodified tune. Cast end tanks with an integrated drain port bolt to the factory mounting points and reuse the factory piping connections, and the unit is compatible with the Turbosmart VeePort blow-off valve. On 2021 and later PowerBoost trucks the OEM external speaker must be removed or relocated with the AMS bracket AMS.55.09.0001-5. This version is finished in uncoated silver without a logo.
