This drop in performance filter is a direct replacement for the factory element in the 2.9T, 3.0T and 4.0T V6 and V8 engines shared across the 4M and 9Y platform SUVs. The washable, reusable cotton gauze media was optimized on the flow bench to flow up to 12% more than stock with less pressure drop at the same flow rate, easing strain on the turbochargers and sharpening throttle and turbo response. It retains the factory shape for a direct fit while adding internal flow enhancements beyond a media change alone.
