The APR Intake System is a complete induction upgrade for the EA888.4 2.0T engine, routing air from dual frontal inlet scoops through a 109 mm inlet tube to an included turbocharger inlet adapter that connects directly to the turbo. The tube offers a 99% larger cross sectional area at the airbox with a straight through design free of sharp bends, flowing up to 43% more than stock on the factory turbo and up to 80% more on a larger turbo. It runs as an open system or converts to a closed setup, and uses a washable pleated cotton gauze filter. On a Stage 1 Golf R or S3 with no other changes it adds 15 AWHP and 12 AWFT-LBS. Removable turbo back pipes and inlet adapters keep it configurable for OEM, hybrid and aftermarket turbo upgrades.
