APR PEX Intake System Front Airbox - Audi / VW EA888 PQ35 1.8T/2.0T 2008-2018

APR's PEX intake swaps the factory airbox for a closed housing moulded from PEX, a high heat deflection material chosen to keep engine bay heat out of the charge while the inlet draws cold air from outside the bay. On the flow bench the airbox measured a 31% CFM increase over the factory airbox and 24% over the complete factory system, which shows up as sharper throttle response, less strain on the turbocharger and a fuller induction note. A high flow pleated cotton gauze filter does the filtration without the restriction of the paper OE element and can be cleaned and reused. The system is modular: it bolts to the factory turbo inlet piping as supplied and accepts the separate APR turbo inlet pipe to complete the induction path. It carries CARB EO D-782-8 and all mounting hardware is included.
