APR PEX Open Intake System - Volkswagen Jetta / Taos 2022-2026

This system drops the closed factory airbox for an open design built around a 7 in washable cotton gauze filter with a frontal inlet and a 4 in rear outlet, oversized so airflow rises without giving up filtration surface. On the flow bench the factory frontal airbox moved 470 CFM at 28 in of H2O; the APR system peaked at 935 CFM at the same depression, a gain of up to 113%. The heat shield is molded in PEX, which retains less heat than metal and is shaped to push radiator heat away from the intake tract. APR measured 6 WHP and 10 wheel ft-lbs over stock on a 1.5T test car, and the kit installs in minutes without affecting emissions equipment.
