Bilstein B4 dampers are the OE replacement line, valved to restore the ride quality and ride height the car left the factory with rather than to change them. This is a monotube shock absorber measuring 276 mm collapsed and 436 mm extended, with a bar pin lower mount and a stem upper mount, made in Germany and sold individually. Monotube construction gives a larger piston and keeps gas and oil separated, which is why Bilstein's replacement units hold their damping on long rough roads better than the twintube originals many of these cars wore from new.
