The Bilstein B8 5100 is a rear 46mm monotube gas shock absorber designed as a direct-fit upgrade for lifted trucks and SUVs running 0 to 1.5in of added rear height. A velocity-sensitive digressive piston reacts to changing road surfaces for firm, fade-free control, and the non-adjustable monotube design runs cooler and more consistently than a comparable twin-tube shock. Each unit is zinc-plated for corrosion resistance and tuned specifically for its application.
