Bilstein 35-114093 is a B8 Performance Plus front strut assembly for the E39 chassis, valved to work with aftermarket lowering springs and factory sport suspensions rather than stock ride height. The gas pressure monotube runs application specific fixed valving in a 36 mm body, measures 18.11 in (460.0 mm) collapsed and 21.42 in (544.0 mm) extended, and carries a fixed spring seat with a base cup lower mount and a stem at the top. One part number covers either side of the axle. It supersedes Bilstein 22-044419 and replaces BMW 31 31 2 229 612, and it is not intended for vehicles with electronic or self-leveling suspension.
