Bilstein B8 Performance Plus is the shortened performance damper line, built for cars already lowered on aftermarket springs where a full length damper would run out of travel and start working against its bump stops. This is the front monotube strut assembly, sold individually, and Bilstein lists two per vehicle. Monotube construction gives a larger piston and keeps gas and oil separated for consistent damping when the shorter stroke is working hard, and the application specific valving is matched to the lowered ride height rather than the factory one. If the car is still at stock height on stock springs, Bilstein's B6 is the line to look at instead.
