Brembo Prime Front Brake Disc 390x36mm Mercedes-Benz S63 S65 AMG Maybach - Dual Cast

The 09.C127.33 is the 390 mm Dual Cast front disc from Brembo’s Prime line for the W222-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class, including the S63 and S65 AMG cars and the Maybach S650. Dual Cast means the high-carbon iron braking ring is cast directly around an aluminium hat — the bond is made in the foundry, not with pins or bolts. On a disc this large the aluminium hat removes a meaningful amount of rotating, unsprung mass while the friction surface remains iron and keeps iron’s behaviour at temperature. The bi-material joint also allows the ring to grow radially as it heats, which limits the coning that lengthens pedal travel on a heat-soaked one-piece disc.

Brembo publishes a second Dual Cast disc, 09.B848.33, to identical dimensions — 390 mm diameter, 36 mm thick, 64.5 mm height, 67 mm centering bore, 5 holes — but for the AMG C63, E63, GLC63, SL63 and AMG GT cars. The two are separate part numbers with separate applications; they cannot be told apart with a tape measure, so select from the fitment list below. The matching rear disc for these cars is 09.C128.33.
