DBA42716S is DBA's 4000 Series rotor on the same 2716 casting as the Street Series DBA2716S, but it is a materially different rotor. The iron is high carbon alloyed and goes through DBA's Thermal Stability Profiling - heat treatment cycles that realign the microstructure of the iron so the rotor holds its shape under repeated heavy heat instead of coning or cracking. It also carries thermographic heat paint: markings that change colour at set temperature thresholds, so you can read off the rotor how hard the brakes have actually been worked.

The slot is DBA's T3: the T2 bi-symmetrical pattern plus a third, tri-symmetrical set of slots, for more exit points and a quieter, smoother pedal than T2. DBA recommends the T3 slot for high performance and heavy off-road use. Same 319mm diameter, 28mm thickness and 6 x 139.7mm bolt pattern as DBA2716S - what you are paying the difference for is the metallurgy, the heat treatment, the temperature paint and the extra slots.
