DEI Titanium Pipe Shield - Universal, 4 in x 12 in

A pipe shield gives spot heat protection where an exhaust pipe runs close to something that cannot take the radiant load, such as a transmission, brake lines, floorboards, body panels, a fuel tank, or a differential. DEI's Titanium Pipe Shield uses two-ply LR fiber: an outer weave spun from pulverized and stranded lava rock for strength and durability, over an inner fabric of 89% silica that tolerates 350 degrees more heat than glass fiber. That combination protects to 1350°F, where Mylar backed glass fiber shields begin cracking and flaking off around 900°F. The rivet based standoff bracket design holds an air gap between the shield and the pipe, so heat dissipates instead of conducting straight through, and this 12 in length suits short, targeted sections such as the pipe beside a transmission tunnel or a brake line run.
