Carbon alloy metallurgy adds molybdenum, chromium and extra carbon to the iron, which dampens noise and raises thermal conductivity and strength over a standard cast disc. The cross-drilled face vents gas and water, and the GEOMET coating is applied dry and rated for 400 hours of salt spray with no chromium or cadmium content. Each rotor is 100% precision mill-balanced and held to 0.010 mm maximum disc thickness variation and 0.050 mm maximum lateral runout, with a fine-turned braking surface for quick pad break-in.
