Dinan's cover is molded in gloss UV coated 2x2 twill carbon fiber and replaces the factory plastic engine lid. It keeps the same basic footprint but flares outward at the sides to hide the stainless steel hardware, cables, and tubing the stock cover leaves on show, and it carries no visible mounting hardware of its own. Rare earth magnets hold it in place instead of fasteners, so it goes on and lifts off by hand and does not have to be unbolted for an air filter change. The part is covered by CARB EO D-176-55 and is emissions legal in all 50 states.
