do88 3 in Silicone Turbo Intake Hose - Volvo 740/760/940 1990-1998 - Black

A 76mm (3 in) silicone intake hose that carries air from the mass air flow sensor to the turbo compressor inlet on the rear-wheel-drive Volvo redblock turbos. An integrated steel wire runs through the wall to stop the hose collapsing under the negative pressure the turbo generates, and the silicone is built up in three to five reinforcement layers depending on position. It replaces the original rubber hose, OEM 3514480, which hardens and splits with age. The plastic rim of the crankcase ventilation heating element in the original hose needs filing down before it is transferred into this hose.
