This do88 BigPack fits the MERA motorsport grade intercoolers, the do88 high flow Y-pipe and the do88 inlet hoses to the 991.2 charge air system in one package. The cores are high density Garrett bar and plate units behind 3D freeform cast end tanks, with custom carbon fiber ambient air guides sealed to the body so the cooling air is forced through the core. do88 measured 835 CFM at 0.175 bar (2.54 psi) pressure drop against 607 CFM for the OE system, 37 percent higher, and a 17°C peak drop in inlet air temperature over five consecutive full throttle runs on a Stage 1 car. The Y-pipe is 2.5 inch (63 mm) mandrel bent aluminum on a cast collector and carries two 1/8-27 NPT connections for water/methanol injection, supplied with blanking plugs. Each intercooler weighs 8.5 kg against 3.10 kg for the OE unit, and the 70 mm intercooler connections and CFD tested hoses remove the OE restrictions.
