Each is high quality silicone with three to five reinforcement layers depending on inner diameter, so the wall will not soften or collapse under manifold vacuum the way aged rubber does. A leaking or collapsed vacuum hose here is a common cause of a hard brake pedal and a lean idle. The set replaces OE references 30665561 and 3524376.
