This do88 performance intercooler upgrades the water-to-air chargecooler on the S55-powered BMW M2 Competition, M3 and M4. It uses a bar-and-plate aluminum core with TIG-welded cast aluminum end tanks and a dual-pass water circuit, replacing the OEM single-pass design. Core volume grows to 5,657 cm3, roughly 85 percent more than stock, with high-density offset fins on both the air and water sides. On a BootMod3 Stage 1 tune do88 measured up to 25 hp more mid-range, 13 hp more peak and 52 Nm more torque, with post-intercooler air roughly 9 degrees C cooler and 16 percent lower pressure drop. It is a drop-in fit requiring no modifications.
