do88 Performance Intercooler - BMW N54 / N55 (E82/E88/E9X) 2007-2013

Performance intercooler for the N54 and N55 BMWs that replaces the restrictive factory quick-click connections with conventional 76 mm (3 in) hose connections. Core volume is 15517 cm3 against 6933 cm3 for the OE unit, 124 percent more, with 1151 cm2 of frontal cooling area against 658 cm2. Airflow reaches 498 CFM at 0.15 bar (2.18 psi) pressure drop where the OE cooler manages 354 CFM, 41 percent higher. On a 335xi N55 with a Stage 1 tune do88 recorded a 13 hp peak gain, and charge temperature fell to 43°C from 58°C on an otherwise stock car. The kit includes a 63 mm (2.5 in) mandrel-bent aluminum J-pipe and a purpose-made plastic air guide that closes the gap left when the factory guide is trimmed.
