EBC RP-1 Race Front Brake Pads - BMW E36/E46/Z3/Z4 1992-2008

EBC Racing RP-1 is a full race pad compound that holds a flat 0.45 friction coefficient from 100°C to 750°C, with an optimal working window of 300°C to 650°C. It pairs that stability with exceptionally low rotor wear and a progressive, highly modulated pedal instead of the grabby initial bite and noise common to race pads. Friction runs about 25 percent below EBC's RP-X compound, which makes RP-1 the better choice for light to medium weight cars, cars running non EBC big brake kits, and vehicles without ABS. Pads ship pre-scorched for faster bedding in and are not ECE R90 approved, so this is a track and competition compound rather than a street pad.
