EBC SR-11 is a fully sintered race pad, built from metal powdered alloys that are compressed and heat fused rather than resin bonded, and it works from ambient temperature up to 900°C (1650°F). SR-11 is the medium friction compound in the EBC SR range, specified for the rear axle of race cars running brake bias control and for the front of street cars with ABS. No chemical bedding is required, so the pads are fitted and driven straight away. The sintered face lays down a transfer film that all but eliminates disc wear, and EBC testing reports three to five times the life of competitor semi-metallic pads. EBC pairs SR-11 on the rear with the higher friction SR-21 on the front.
