The GFB VTA T9416 replaces the factory electronic diverter valve with a vent to atmosphere blow-off valve, and the removable trumpet that screws onto the body sets the sound: fitted it gives a loud high pitch whistle, unscrewed it gives a mellower classic whoosh. An integrated low profile solenoid stacked over the valve, plus the supplied plug and play adaptor loom, keeps the factory ECU in charge of when the valve vents. Spring preload adjusts with a 5 mm hex key to change venting duration and sound at low boost; GFB suggests starting at the softest setting and winding in three full turns, and warns that too much preload can set a fault code because the ECU reads a firm valve as a stuck one. Precision CNC machined components, a durable elastomer piston seal and two o-rings mean boost pressure forces the piston shut, so the valve will not leak or blow open at any boost level. For quiet recirculating operation instead, the T9396 DV+ is the same platform without the atmospheric vent.
