Hawk HPS 5.0 is the company's High Performance Street compound, a Ferro-Carbon formulation that raises the coefficient of friction over stock pads to deliver 20 to 40 percent more stopping power and much greater resistance to brake fade. The higher, more stable friction firms up pedal feel and shortens stops while keeping operation quiet, low on dust, and gentle on rotors for long pad and rotor life.
