The HKS Hi-Power 409 is a cat-back system that replaces the center pipe and main silencer on the RB25DET Skyline. HKS uses SUS304 stainless for the visible rear shell and tail and SUH409 for the hidden piping, a combination chosen because SUH409 resists thermal expansion and absorbs more sound, which lets the system run a straight-through design without excessive noise. The tail measures 120 mm across, the largest mid section diameter is 95 mm, and the packing is Advantex continuous fiber glass wool. HKS records close proximity noise at 98 dB against 92 dB stock, and the fitted system leaves 157 mm minimum ground clearance. It carries JASMA certification 03S07427 and a two year or 30,000 km warranty.
