The HKS S-Type Oil Cooler Kit is a bolt-on engine oil cooling system for the FK8 Civic Type R, built around a 9-row core measuring 200 x 122.5 x 48 mm that mounts inside the right front fender behind an aluminum air guide. Plumbing runs on #10 (AN-10) hoses and fittings through a sandwich block adapter at the oil filter housing, and total engine oil capacity rises to 5.9 liters once the core and lines are filled. The kit is finished in black and ships with the core, air guide, mounting brackets, hoses and fittings. HKS quotes roughly four hours of installation time and minor trimming of the bumper backing, inner fender and brake duct area.
