The Super Fire Racing Coil Pro replaces the FD3S ignition system with Japanese built high output coils and converts the 13B-REW rotary from simultaneous to independent ignition. The coils sit on dedicated brackets that move them away from underhood heat, and a supplied relay harness feeds them straight from the battery so spark stays consistent as boost and rpm climb. HKS had the assembly vibration tested by a third party to confirm it copes with the vibration signature of a rotary. A programmable ECU with independent ignition and dwell control is required, since the factory ECU cannot drive the kit.
