The Suspension Error Canceller Type-H hides the variable damper system warning that the Civic's instrument display raises once the factory adaptive dampers are swapped for fixed rate suspension. It is an add on unit that joins the damper control circuit behind the rear seat using the supplied harness, so no factory wiring has to be cut or spliced, and that add on design means it keeps working after the control unit is reprogrammed. HKS states the limits plainly: the fault logged inside the damper control unit itself is not cleared, and diagnostic equipment may be unable to communicate with that unit while the canceller is fitted.
