KONI Special ACTIVE Rear Shock Absorber - Audi B8/C7 2008-2018

The Special ACTIVE is KONI's red 8045 series damper, a twin-tube low pressure gas unit that uses Frequency Selective Damping to read what the road is actually doing. High frequency inputs like expansion joints and coarse tarmac get soft, short travel damping, while the low frequency body motions of cornering, braking and load transfer get firm damping, so the car gains control without picking up the harshness that usually comes with a stiffer shock. It is a bolt in replacement for the worn factory damper, needs no external adjustment, and is sold one shock at a time so you can replace an axle pair or a single corner. KONI recommends fitting new strut mounts alongside it.
