MagnaFlow 5561477 is a California Grade CARB compliant direct-fit catalytic converter for the M271 1.8L turbocharged four, replacing the close-coupled primary converter that mounts off the turbocharger and is the only catalyst on the car. A 3.0 in flanged inlet feeds an 8.625 in ceramic substrate converter body and a 2.25 in flanged outlet across 22.75 in overall, with oxygen sensor ports at the pre-converter and midbed positions. Tubing is 16 gauge 409 stainless steel with 308 stainless MIG welds and 410 stainless barbed hangers, and hangers plus two outlet nuts are supplied. CARB Executive Order D-193-198 and New York certification make it legal in all 50 states for the listed vehicles.
