The Mishimoto thermal bypass valve kit replaces the failure-prone factory bypass valve on 2012-2024 Mopar models running the ZF 8HP automatic, Charger, Challenger, Chrysler 300, and Ram 1500 TRX. The stock valve acts as a thermostat, restricting fluid flow to the external transmission cooler until temperature is reached, but the factory units commonly stick closed and overheat the transmission. This CNC-machined billet aluminum replacement adds a heat-sink design for improved dissipation, a serviceable thermostat that opens at the stock 160°F (71°C) and accepts any Mishimoto thermostat, plus an installable bypass insert for constant cooler flow in extreme driving or hot climates. Installs in about an hour and connects directly to all factory cooler piping. Black anodized, backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Returns

  • 30 days from delivery to request and ship back a return on new, uninstalled items in original packaging with all hardware.
  • Standard returns: 8% restocking fee on the item price before tax and shipping. Shipping is not refunded in either direction. All waived if the item is defective or we made the error.
  • Fitment guaranteed: select your vehicle above, or confirm fitment with us in writing before you order. If the part shows as a fit and it is wrong, the return is on us, even after installation. Otherwise, installed or used parts cannot be returned.
  • Final sale: special orders, coilovers, electronics, engine internals, turbochargers, superchargers and turbo kits, unless defective or we sent the wrong item.
