The Mishimoto Performance Air Intake replaces the restrictive factory airbox on the turbocharged 1.5L Honda Civic Si with a free-flowing, direct-fit system that is 37 percent less restrictive than stock. A steel wire reinforced silicone intake arm smooths airflow and holds intake air temperatures down better than a cast aluminum tube, while the black powder-coated steel airbox shields the high-flow filter from engine bay heat and positions it to reduce hydrolock risk. The venturi-style MAF housing straightens incoming air for a cleaner sensor signal, and the sealed box draws on the factory hood air diverter for a cooler charge. Dyno testing shows consistent gains of up to 4 whp and 4 wtq on the stock tune, and the kit bolts on with no tuning required.
