Air-to-water heat exchanger for the 2015-2020 BMW F8X M3, M4 and M2 Competition, sized to improve cooling on the S55 charge-air system. Plastic is eliminated in favor of aluminum end tanks and ports, with the dual-pass core flow retained and expanded to a 42mm-thick core and 150mm of added height for a 60 percent increase in core volume and 180 percent more external fin surface area. The result is a 9-10F drop in global intercooler coolant temperatures over stock. A steel mesh stone guard shields the front-mounted core from road debris.
