The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler Kit is a direct-fit bar-and-plate upgrade for the 2.3L EcoBoost, built around a core measuring 25.6 inches by 8.3 inches with 36% more internal core volume and 214% more external fin surface area than stock. The larger core lowers air outlet temperature by nearly 40% while minimizing inlet and outlet pressure drop, adds roughly 7 hp and 8 lb-ft, and supports builds up to 600 horsepower. The kit also replaces the stock hot-side pipe with a Mishimoto design offering 40% more internal volume that routes airflow over the factory PTU cooler, and adds a 5-layer wire-reinforced silicone cold-side hose for stronger flow and long-term durability.
