A performance intercooler and charge pipe kit for MQB Volkswagen Golf, GTI and Golf R and Audi A3 and S3 models with the EA888 Gen3 engine. The 2.2 in thick bar-and-plate core has 89% more volume and 162% more external fin area than the stock tube-and-fin cooler, and cast aluminum end tanks carry airflow diverters to use the full core. Mandrel-bent aluminum pipes in a wrinkle black finish open the air channels to 2.75 in for 30% more flow. On stock tuning the kit dropped intercooler outlet temperatures by 23 F and added up to 14.5 whp and 13 wtq.

Fitment Notes EA888 Gen3 engines only; manual or 6-speed DSG transmissions (hot-side piping may not fit the 7-speed DSG); not for TDI, 1.4T or MK8 models. This kit is compatible with the EA888 Gen3 engine and manual or 6-speed DSG transmissions only. Hot-side intercooler piping may not fit properly on vehicles equipped with 7-speed DSG transmissions.; 27 in-lbs (3NM) recommended for all T-bolt and constant-tension T-bolt clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-35 in-lbs (2-4NM). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 35 in-lbs (4NM).

Returns

  • 30 days from delivery to request and ship back a return on new, uninstalled items in original packaging with all hardware.
