The friction is a semi-metallic formula that is post cured, which raises braking power and shortens break-in against a green shoe. Each shoe is precision cam ground so its arc matches the drum from the first stop, and the edges are chamfered to hold noise and chatter down. Backing plates are new steel with a rust-resistant coating, and the friction is 100% asbestos-free and copper-free.
