The SPEC Stage 2 clutch kit pairs a full-faced Kevlar friction disc, mounted on a double-sprung and heat-treated hub, with a high-clamp billet pressure plate. SPEC rates the assembly at 480 lb-ft of torque, suiting it to street driving, autocross, and occasional drag use while keeping engagement smooth and progressive. The Kevlar friction material offers long service life and forgiving take-up compared with sintered or ceramic pucks. The kit is engineered to run on the SPEC single-mass billet flywheel (part number SA40A-2), which replaces the factory dual-mass flywheel and is required for correct installation; the flywheel is sold separately.
