SPEC Stage 2 Clutch Kit BMW 335i / 135i / 535i N54 - Kevlar, Requires SPEC Flywheel

SPEC part number SB532-2 is the Stage 2 clutch for BMW's N54 3.0L twin-turbo six. SPEC builds Stage 2 around a Kevlar disc with a steel backing, a combination the company describes as yielding excellent drivability, longer life and higher torque capacity than its organic Stage 1 disc, and rates this kit at 485 lb-ft.

The thing that separates SB532-2 from every other SPEC N54 kit is the cover, not the disc. SB532-2 is SPEC's non-ratcheting assembly, which cannot be run on the factory dual-mass flywheel: SPEC lists it strictly for use with one of their billet single-mass flywheels. Through January 2009 production that is the SB53S-2 or SB53A-2; from February 2009 production onward it is the SB53S-3 or SB53A-3. That flywheel is a separate part and is not in this box. If you intend to keep the OE dual-mass flywheel, SPEC's ratcheting Stage 2+ kit, SB533H, is the part number to order instead.
