The Proxes Sport 2 is Toyo's max performance summer tire, here in a 305/30R20 extra load casing rated 103Y, good for 1,929 lb per tire and speeds to 186 mph. An asymmetric tread pairs a flexible inner compound with a rigid outer compound, so the shoulder holds its shape under cornering load while the inner tread stays compliant, and Toyo's Dynamic Taper Design shapes the blocks to keep contact pressure even as they wear. Sizes 285 mm and wider, including this one, carry a continuous center rib for straight line stability. Toyo rates the line at 15% shorter wet stopping and 10% shorter dry stopping than the original Proxes Sport, grades it 240 AA A on UTQG, and backs it with a 25,000 mile treadwear warranty. As a summer compound it is not intended for snow or ice.
