The Wilwood TC6R rear kit replaces the factory rear disc brakes on heavy trucks and SUVs running larger than stock wheels, pairing a forged six-piston TC6 radial-mount caliper with a 16.00 in by 1.38 in SRP drilled and slotted iron rotor. Caliper bores measure 1.75 in, 1.38 in, and 1.38 in for 5.40 sq in of piston area, and BP-10 compound pads give 13 sq in of pad area. Piston area, rotor size, and pad compound are matched to the OE master cylinder output, ABS function, and vehicle brake bias, so the kit adds stopping control for big wheel and tire packages without upsetting the factory hydraulic balance. The OE parking brake assembly is retained through the included drum-in-hat. This kit fits axles with a 4.84 in center register only, and wheel interior clearance should be checked against the diagram in the installation instructions before purchase.
