Metal Head Gaskets for Performance Engines

The head gasket seals combustion pressure, coolant and oil between the block and cylinder head. Boost, high compression and aggressive timing push cylinder pressure well beyond factory levels, and a stock gasket can lift or blow. A metal stopper or MLS head gasket holds that pressure far better, and choosing the right thickness also lets builders fine tune compression ratio.

We carry HKS stopper and grommet type metal head gaskets for the Toyota 2JZ and 7M, Nissan RB26, SR20, VQ35DE and VR38, Mitsubishi 4G63 and 4B11T, and Subaru FA20 and FA24, in thicknesses from 0.7mm to 2.0mm. Skunk2 adds MLS head gaskets for the Honda H22A, K20A and K20C1 in 0.85mm and 1.35mm.
